Dr. Martin Knops is since the beginning of 2017 Chief Technological Officer of ZF Wind Power. Before, he headed the R&D department at Senvion for 6 years, after having built up rotor blade development for Repower/Senvion since 2005.
Martin studied mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen and ENSTA Paris, where he did his PhD on composite fracture analysis in 2003. From 2003 to 2005 Martin was heading the department for composite materials at IKV, RWTH Aachen.
Mr. Jef Deckers is Head of ZF Wind Power’s Product Portfolio Management department and member of ZF Wind Power’s management team. Before, Jef was active as a Global Key Accountant Manager and in other positions in the company’s Research & Development Department, which he joined in 2005. Jef holds a Master in Engineering and worked in the thermal spraying industry before he joined the wind industry.
Since 2019, Mr. Hans Akkermans is Chief Customer Officer of ZF Wind Power.
Before this position, he took up several commercial roles within the company. Hans joined the wind industry in 2009 in the area of Marketing and Market Intelligence at Hansen Transmissions, which was later acquired by ZF in 2011. Mr. Akkermans holds a Master in Business Administration and worked in the USA before he stepped into the wind business.
